Former Los Angeles Dodger coach Mark Cresse and his experienced staff of local high school and college baseball coaches will be conducting its annual Winter Camp during the upcoming holiday vacation period. The Mark Cresse School of Baseball Winter Camp is an excellent chance to give your ballplayer a big advantage above the competition in the upcoming season.”
The Winter Camp consists of 5 days of training. Camp hours for all ages are 9:00-12:00 each day. The three hours of training will include hitting, bunting, sliding, throwing, baserunning and defensive situations. All players will be trained at the position of their choice (please choose just one position on the camp application). Individual hitting instruction will be taught daily.
The Mark Cressse School of Baseball is concluding its 24th year as Southern California's most respected baseball camp with locations in Huntington Beach, Irvine, Aliso Viejo, Orange, Chino Hills and Costa Mesa (senior campers only) The Mark Cresse School of Baseball offers experienced, professional staff, using the most modern equipment in Orange County area's finest facilities.
For high school varsity players and youth league all-starts looking to remain a set ahead of the competition through beginners learning how to throw and catch, the Mark Cresse School of Baseball is a fundamentally intensive, non-competitive learning program taught in a fun environment.
Athletic success instills self confidence and teaches lifelong values of discipline and work ethic for a foundation of success is all future endeavors. The Mark Cresse School is the most constructive Winter or Summer Activity a ballplayer will ever attend!!

Training Sessions
Fundamental Training
Intensive training in baseball fundamentals will be conducted daily. Station training is designed to improve basic skills in throwing, hitting, ground balls, fly balls, base running, sliding, form running, rundowns, cutoffs and relays, and all phases of fundamental instruction.
Individualized Instruction
Position training is taught daily throughout our entire 5 day program. Each ballplayer will choose ONE defensive position to focus on . Ballplayers will work with their position coach on a daily bases with each day building on the previous days instruction.

Divisions
Youth Division
5-12 years of age
For beginners learning how to throw and catch, or all-stars looking to remain a step ahead of the competition, The Mark Cresse School of Baseball is a fundamentally intensive, non-competitive learning program taught in a fun environment.
Senior Division
13-18 years of age
The Senior Division held at Vanguard University is a great opportunity for ballplayers ages 13-18 from youth leagues through high school. The Mark Cresse School of Baseball's intensive training program acts as a "spring training" preparation period that will give you the extra edge above the competition. Many local high school ballplayers attend the Cresse Winter Camp annually to help them prepare for the upcoming season. It is also a great opportunity to expose your ability to many local college coaches and professional scouts.

Rainy Day Policy:
While inclement weather is rarely a problem in Southern California and we have had few in our 20 years of camp, the following policy will be in effect: Winter Camp guarantee is four days. While every effort will be made to train five days, camp credit, for summer 2008 will be issued only after two or more rained out days.
